Mutualism is a form of symbiosis (see vocabulary). This form of symbiosis is when both interacting organisms benefit from the interaction. A classic example of mutualism is a crocodile and a plover bird. A plover bird will go into a crocodile’s mouth and pick meat off of the crocodile’s teeth. This feeds the bird while cleaning the crocodile’s teeth at the same time. Some other examples are bees and flowers, ravens and wolves, and pitcher plants and spiders.
